A message from Lee, the founder of Stroke Recovery UK, shares his journey to inspire and support others on their paths to recovery.
At 41, Lee Cartwright experienced a significant stroke that left him paralysed on the left side of his body. Lee regained movement through positivity and diligent engagement in brain exercises and rehabilitation. Determined to empower himself and others, Lee earned Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Disability and Exercise during his recovery.
Inspired by his personal journey, Lee created a supportive community for those on their own stroke recovery paths. We encourage questions and invite everyone to share their unique recovery stories within the group. Together, we can foster an environment where positivity leads the way to recovery and success!
